Letter: Prom photo was disturbing, inappropriate

To the editor:

The picture in the Wednesday, May 19 Echo Press of an Osakis prom couple was extremely disturbing to me! It showed the young couple all dressed for prom and making shooting gestures with their hands and laughing! The caption below read, "shooting up some smiles."

I feel this is very inappropriate especially in this time when way too many young people are losing their lives to gun violence.

We need to teach our young people to have respect for life and not joke about gun violence.
