To the editor:
There is a startling gap in Joyce Kakac’s February letter. Why were the back-door abortions only shut down after abortion became, “legal?” Family planning clinics have been around since 1916!
Roe v. Wade did not create them.
Here are the facts: The year before Roe v. Wade, 37 women died from back alley abortions. The year after Roe v. Wade over 1,500,000 human beings died of abortion.
So, yes: Pro-choice did save lives: 37; at the cost of 1,500,000 lives. I was a math minor in college and that is a loss. Most pro-lifers do not judge others; but we do judge general acts. Beyond doubt, abortion intentionally kills a living human being.
