To the editor:
Lake Brophy County Park is an amazing asset for the entire Douglas County area. I had my first (long overdue) visit to this wonderful park a week ago. Among other things, the 140-acre park includes arguably, the best public beach in the county, an amazing mountain bike course and a truly impressive play structure, all of which are well enjoyed by many. If you haven’t seen it yet, schedule a visit soon, you won’t be disappointed.
Over the years while traveling, we have enjoyed bringing our kids to parks with some of these same features throughout Minnesota. I am so happy and proud to have such a fine park in our own Alexandria lakes area. Kudos to the leadership that helped make this local treasure a reality.
