Letter: Good to see Opinion items that were not anti-gun

To the editor:
When reading the June 22, 2022 edition of the Echo Press, I nearly spit my teeth in my corn flakes. There were two pieces on the same page that concerned guns. I guess what was most surprising, neither were anti-gun.
In today's times, how many media outlets can you think of that can have something on guns and not be anti-gun? Not a lot. Being anti-gun is more politically correct I guess. Mr. Anderson (It's Our Turn column) questions why a number of things such as alcohol, cars, fireworks and more things that cause deaths aren't banned. Good question. I would bet that Old Joe, Kamala, and Nancy and their families have body guards that don't carry squirt guns. Are their families more important than yours or mine?
Mr. Korkowski (letter to the editor) said it all. Why take the guys away from the good guys? Probably they know it might be less dangerous getting the guns from the good guys. The bad guys would probably shoot you on the spot.
Since subscribing to the Echo, I thought it was nearly a waste of money. Those two gun articles made my yearly subscription worth every penny.
