Letter: Franson has some 'splaining to do about Lewis

We are part of The Trust Project.

To the editor:

We recently learned that four Minnesota Republicans have received political donations by two of Rudy Giuliani's associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman. Both were arrested recently as they were about to leave the states. Those four: NRCC Tom Emmer, U.S. Rep. Jim Hagedorn, U.S. Rep. Pete Stauber, and former shock jock radio host and one-term Representative Jason Lewis.

What is interesting here is that Jason got himself into trouble in the past for making derogatory statements against women and also making several antisemitic statements, one being that the Jewish lobby controls the Republican Party. His antisemitic comments were condemned as "factually false and morally reprehensible."

The reason I bring Jason Lewis to the attention of the readers of the Echo Press is that Representative Mary Franson had a fundraiser this past August. Who was her guest speaker? Jason Lewis. She's got some 'splaining to do.
