Letter: Christmas spirit is alive and well in Alexandria

The residents in the area have done an outstanding job of decorating their homes and properties and all this in the midst of a pandemic.

To the editor:

Once again Alexandria has the Christmas spirit shining brightly in the night sky and like Dr. Seuss’s story, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” even nasty old COVID-19 can’t stop Christmas from coming!

I would like to thank all the city crews and business owners for making Alex look like a festive city abounding with the Christmas spirit it certainly brightens the moods of many. The residents in the area have done an outstanding job of decorating their homes and properties and all this in the midst of a pandemic. Keep the spirit of Christmas shining and Merry Christmas to all!
