To the editor:

How sad to see the city or state crews mow the ditch on Highway 29 and make an even bigger mess after they finished!

My wife and I moved to the area about three years ago and were/are saddened by the amount of trash on Highway 29 between downtown and I-94. It makes no sense to expend resources to worsen a situation.

Why not have city/state maintenance people clean the area first before chopping it to bits, hence, creating an even bigger mess? Or how about contacting Adopt-a-Highway volunteers to first clean the area!
