To the editor:

I don't get it. With all the lies, anger and hate that comes out of the Trump White House, I have to ask, where are the Christians?

I was raised in the Catholic faith and know that Proverbs 6: 16-19 states the seven things that God hates — a proud look, a lying tongue, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that run to evil, false witness that pours out lies, and a man that stirs up dissensions among people. This sure sounds like Trump and the people love him for these traits.

A quote that is attributed to Mahatma Gandhi is: "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." Isn't that the truth for the U.S.?
