To the editor:

A democracy can not exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse (generosity in bestowing money or gifts upon others) from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith, to great courage, to liberty, to abundance, to selfishness, to apathy, to dependence, back into bondage.

I would love to take credit for this writing but I am not that smart. It was written by Alexander Fraser Tytler in the early 1800s. I encourage you to read this closely and then ask where is America in this sequence? As you figure out where we are in this sequence it should scare you. I hope it scares all of us to get out and vote.

America may just vote in socialism in 2020 or put another way, dependence. From dependence to bondage. I believe we are that close to seeing the end of America.

Wake up, America, before we become a dictatorship.

We need to educate ourselves in the Constitution and start demanding adherence to the constitution by our elected officials – not free stuff. Americans are in debt in the amount of $22 trillion dollars and our elected officials just voted to add more to it.

Social Security will be bankrupt in 10 years. We are being invaded everyday. Tell me how the Mueller investigation has helped with any of this? Please vote with your head and educate yourself and then vote.
