In a thumbs up/thumbs down item in the May 8 issue, a reader asked Selective TV to add Fox News to its lineup.
We have since learned there is another side to this thumbs item — a very important side that the newspaper failed to address before printing the thumbs. According to the Selective TV Board, the costs associated with the Fox News cable channel far exceed Selective TV's budget. The decision on which news programs Selective TV carries is based on its budget, not some kind of political agenda. Also, Selective TV does broadcast NEWSMAX, an independent news channel with a conservative perspective.
If readers have any questions about Selective TV's channel lineup, or any other questions, they should contact Selective TV at 320-763-5924. The Selective TV office is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
