Violet “Vi” Carrico

Violet Iona was born on April 16, 1931, in Woodside, Minnesota, the daughter of Emil and Minnie (Janke) Riedel. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. Violet led a full and vibrant life with an outgoing personality and her own personal style. She graduated from High school and then Alexandria Technical College and worked as a Social Worker for Douglas County for 23 years.

She was a wonderful mother, a tireless worker, a great cook and was generous with her time and talents. Vi enjoyed playing the piano and organ, listening to music, crafts and being creative and just having fun. After Retirement she worked as a senior companion, an election official, and several things in the Alexandria community. Most of all Vi loved her Family, her God, church and bible study. She touched so many lives in so many ways and the world will be a lesser place without her Hollywood smile.
