Sherry Olson

Sherry (Muecke) Olson was born on October 21, 1953 in Alexandria, MN. Sherry attended school in Brandon, MN and graduated from Brandon High School. She furthered her education at Alexandria Technical College. In 1973, She married LeRoy Thompson where they had 2 sons, Craig and Cory.

Sherry’s greatest passion in life was her family especially her children and grandchildren. She also loved working as a Medical Assistant with Sharon Senior Services in Alexandria, MN. After spending time living with and helping taking care of her mother in Alexandria she met Erling Olson. Sherry married Erling in 2015 with whom she lived with until her passing.

Sherry preceded in death by her parents: Virgil and Ida Muecke in death. She is survived by husband Erling Olson of Alexandria, MN, sons: Craig Thompson of Alexandria, MN and Cory Thompson of Andover, MN, 3 grandchildren, Skyly, Luke and Emmalee; two sisters: Valerie Lundsted of Tonto Basin, AZ and Rosanne Thompson of White Bear Lake, MN, 4 nephews, Lyle Lundsted, Andy Lundsted, Neil Lundsted, Chad Thompson and one niece, Shawna Nelson.

Funeral services will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Alexandria, MN at 11:00am on Thursday, June 17, 2021, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment at West Moe Lutheran Church, Brandon, MN immediately following the service. Arrangements are with the Anderson funeral Home. www.andersonfuneral.net
