Anthony (Tony) Brekken was born on December 14, 1973 to Francis (Frank) and Wanda Brekken in Minot, ND. He lived in Minneapolis for the first 11 years of his life moving to Alexandria in 1984. He attended Jefferson Sr. High School, spending much of his time at the Alex Youth Center where he developed his love for music. He loved to sing Karaoke and was a DJ at various venues around Alex.
He was very proud of his 15 years of sobriety and working in rehab facilities helping others with their addiction. His wise words and compassion are what people remember him by.
He loved fishing and MN Sports teams, especially the Vikings!! He claimed he bled purple! His greatest passion in life though was his son, Devin, and spending time with family.
Tony is survived by his son, Devin Cimbura, his father and stepmother, Frank and Connie Brekken, his mother, Wanda Kelly, siblings, Chris (Jeremy) LaDouceur, Robert (Nikki) Brekken, Allyson (Rolland) Bros, Amanda (Mike) Kelly, Nikki Hanna, Mindy Krone, Amy Knott, Bill Thomas, Mike Ott and many nieces and nephews.
