Lola Jean Fredrickson

Age 78 Passed away February 15 after a brave battle with cancer.
She is survived by her loving and protective husband, William J. McConaughead; nieces Fellicia Smith and Titnasha Robinson; animal companions Slippers and Lily; and a host of devoted friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Ardythe Fredrickson of Minneapolis, as well as four adoring grandparents.
Lola was born in Minneapolis and spent her childhood in Farwell, MN, Except for professional stints in Idaho and Rhode Island, and a short but memorable stay in Africa, she lived in the Twin Cities most of her life. She treasured her 16 years at the University of Minnesota, her involvement with Loyce Houlton’s Contemporary Dance Theatre, and most of all, her marriage and travels with husband Bill. Among her many accomplishments were co-founding Fredrickson Communications, from which she retired after 30 years, and helping establish the Minnesota chapter of Achievement Rewards for College Scientists. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, generous heart, deep intelligence, and talent for making and keeping friends wherever she went.
Services to be held at O’Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, St. Paul, at 1pm, Saturday, February 25.
A private interment will be held in Alexandria, MN at a later date. Memorials suggested to the Animal Humane Society.
