A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, April 15th at Garden Center Lanes in Alexandria for James A Phipps who passed away on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023. Arrangements were entrusted to the Cremation Society of MN.

James was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Phipps (Critser), mother Charlotte, son-in-law Ryan Hinnenkamp, grandson Cameron Hinnenkamp, and granddaughter Grace Frank.

Survivors include his daughters Sarah Frank (Phipps) of St. Joseph and Shelley Hinnenkamp (Phipps) of Melrose; stepsons Jim Critser of Alexandria and Rick Critser of Alexandria; stepdaughter Virgie Christopherson (Critser) of Alexandria; in addition to 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family. Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday.
