Fern Angie Beasley, 83

On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, Fern Angie Beasley, beloved wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 83.

Fern was born on December 30, 1937 in Ainsworth, NE, to Charles and Margaret (Wollesen) Thompson. She graduated from Bellevue NE High School in 1956. On August 2, 1957, she married William Ernest Beasley. They raised a daughter, Tracey, and two sons, Mark and Phillip.

Fern gave her life to Jesus in on Easter Sunday night in 1955 and spent the rest of her days loving Him and working in her home churches in many capacities. Sunday school and the choir were a major part of her life. Teaching her own children to love and serve the Lord was job one and she did it well, teaching in word and by example. She also was a great help and support to her husband, Bill, especially in the years Bill owned and operated his own business. Bill and Fern loved to fish together, which was a big reason for their move from Nebraska to Minnesota in 1987. Fern loved to have her grandchildren come visit in the summers for fun with each other and their grandma. Her final years were spent at Bill’s side as he cared for her during her journey through life with Alzheimers. She passed away peacefully with Bill and Mark at her side.

Fern was preceded in death by her father, Charles, and her mother, Margaret, brothers Dean, Bruce and Bernard and sisters Bernice, Mae and Inez. She is survived by her husband Bill, brother Gean and sisters Carol and Marilyn, her three children, Tracey (Gary) Hinsley, Mark (Saundra) and Phillip (Annette). 13 grand children and 15 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on July 17, 2021 at the Reach Church, 1310 Nokomis St. NE, Alexandria, MN, at 5 o’clock p.m.

(Flowers or donations may be sent to Reach Church.)
