Dennis Christensen

Dennis Lyn Christensen was born on September 17, 1949 at the Britton Hospital in Britton, SD. He was the son of Willis and Evelyn (Ruch) Christensen. He grew up on a farm in northeastern SD. Dennis attended school in Havana, ND and Kidder, SD graduating in 1968 from Havana High School. He went into the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he served for 14 months.

Dennis and Sharon were married July 25, 1970 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Havana, ND. After their marriage the couple made their home in Grand Forks, ND and then moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1972. Dennis started working for GAF Corporation in 1972 and continued with them until retirement in 2010.

Survived by his family: wife Sharon, children Chad (Julie), daughter Teresa (Birch) and grandchildren Violet and Hannah.

The celebration of life is at St. Philips Lutheran Church, 6180 Hwy. 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432, Sat. Feb. 5.

1 pm visitation, 2 pm funeral service, 3 pm luncheon at the church. The service will be live-streamed on the St. Philips website. (splcmn.org)
