Dawn J. Hanson

Dawn Joleen (Kiehn) Hanson was born on April 4, 1961, in Spokane, WA to Val Dena (Keesee) Kiehn. She moved to Minnesota when she was in grade school and graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis. Dawn attended college at Alexandria Technical College and graduated with an AAS degree in office management and accounting.

Dawn was a single mom and went above and beyond to care for her kids. She had multiple jobs at a time to assure her kids were well provided for. Emotionally fulfilling jobs like non profits, and the opportunity to be creative were qualities she looked for when accepting new jobs. Dawn died on Monday, October 18, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. She is survived by her children, Rocky (Carley) Yeats, Ryan (Kacie) Kiehn-Yeats, Riley (Haley) Hanson, and Bri-Anne Stevens; 17 grandchildren; and brothers, John (Amy) Kiehn and Lannie Kiehn.
