Bullick, Patricia L. of Coon Rapids, MN On September 24, 2020, our beloved sister, Patricia (Pat) L. Bullick, passed away at age 76 of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Born on Sunday, January 16, 1944, Pat grew up on farms around the Farwell, MN, area. She was the family historian and could tell stories of yesteryear with laser-sharp memory. When Pat was nine years old, she made a choice to serve God and continued serving Him faithfully until the end. When Pat was 17, Dad drove her to the cities to begin her postsecondary studies at Augsburg College. At age 18, she started the nursing program at Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing, graduating class of 1965. In 1973, Pat was one of the first nine people in the state of MN to graduate as a Nurse Practitioner. Pat held nursing positions at Anoka State Hospital; Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Gatos, CA; Ramsey County Public Health; eventually retiring from VA Medical Center in Minneapolis. After retiring, Pat worked as a Guardian Ad Litem for Hennepin County. Her work in the nursing field touched countless lives and her kind demeanor, gentle spirit, and loving heart was felt by every  life she touched. Pat loved to travel. One trip that Pat loved to talk about was the time she accompanied World War II veterans on an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. When nieces and nephews graduated high school, Pat took them all on a trip of their choice visiting places such as Boston, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, England, France, and Greece. Pat fostered a family culture of love, kindness, and respect, a Godly lady known to her family and friends as someone who would offer a word of encouragement or support or an observation that let each see the next step more clearly. She loved the family’s younger generation and will in small ways continue to guide each by the testimony she leaves on this side of eternity. Pat is preceded in death by our parents, Albert and Eleanor, and our older sisters, Ann Marie and Sandra Jean. She is survived  by her siblings: Barb (Doug) Frye of Burnsville, MN; Mary (Les) Spinner of Oklahoma City, OK; Ralph Bullick of Anoka, MN; Ray (Barb) Bullick of Visalia, CA; Bruce (Kristi) Bullick of Lubbock, TX; and Rebecca Bullick of Visalia, CA; 10 nieces and nephews, 20 great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family and many friends. Our dear sister Pat was loved by many; she and her Godly counsel will be deeply missed. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 29, at 4-8 PM at Gearhart Funeral Home 11275 Foley Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55448 .
