Horizon Public Health will offer several COVID-19 vaccine clinics in May to help bring vaccine to the rural parts of its five-county service area.

According to the most recent data from the state, more than 50% of the residents in Horizon Public Health service area have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

"As we see an increase in supply, we are optimistic that anyone and everyone who wants a vaccine will be able to access it," said Ann Stehn, administrator for Horizon Public Health.

The focus for these community clinics are to offer both pre-registration and the availability to walk in to get vaccinated, Stehn said.

"Our agency is working toward providing access in our rural areas to meet our community members in a convenient, free, efficient, and no wait time opportunity to get vaccinated," she said. "These clinics are designed to get you in and out in about 20 minutes."
