Those caring for people with Alzheimer's, dementia or other memory loss will be able to hear about resources and also share ideas for expanded services during an online listening session hosted by local agencies.

Those who live in Douglas, Pope, Stevens, Traverse or Grant counties can attend a session from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, June 21. To register, visit

Those who live in Becker, Clay, Otter Tail or Wilkin counties can attend a virtual session from 2-3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24. To register, visit

Both sessions are hosted by the Alzheimer's Association Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter and Dancing Sky Area Agency on Aging.

Participants will have the chance to learn about Alzheimer’s and dementia in a brief online discussion. The event will cover the basics of these memory loss conditions, services provided by both groups, and ideas to expand the reach of local programs and services.

Minnesota has 99,000 people living with Alzheimer's and more than 170,000 unpaid caregivers, a number that is growing, according to the Alzheimer's Association.

The sessions are free of charge.
