Alfredo Jaquez, 35, of Willmar was sentenced today, Friday, to prison for 125

months following a conviction for first degree controlled substance crime in Douglas County District Court.

Jaquez was charged with possession of methamphetamine in excess of 10

grams after narcotics agents executed a search warrant in January, 2012 at a residence located at 1522 County Road 82 in Alexandria.

Agents had obtained information that Jaquez was bringing large amounts of methamphetamine from Willmar to sell in the Alexandria area.

More than $3,400 in cash, a semi-automatic assault rifle, and Jaquez's vehicle were seized during in the investigation.

Douglas County Attorney Chad Larson prosecuted the case. Judge David Battey sentenced the defendant.
