Wheel crashes through windshield on I-94 near Brandon, injuring driver

A driver from Rochester was injured on Interstate 94 near Brandon when a wheel from another vehicle crashed through her windshield on Saturday, June 27.

Anna Thompson, 19, was driving a 2005 Honda Pilot west on I-94 near Tigen Road in Moe Township at about 5 p.m. when a pickup truck pulling a Jack Trailer east on I-94 lost a wheel. The wheel rolled through the median, striking the Honda, according to the State Patrol.

Thompson, who was wearing a seatbelt, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Alomere Health in Alexandria.

The driver of the pickup, Nathe Joseph, 73, of Sauk Centre, wasn’t injured.
