Updated: Osakis Fire Department responds to ablaze garage

On Thursday afternoon, the Osakis Fire Department attended a fire on 1st Ave.

While the cause of the fire is unknown, it looked as if the garage was engulfed before the authorities arrived. The fire department ceased the flames. There are no known injuries at this point.

Update: First responders received the call at 5:08 p.m. and worked on the fire for over two hours. The Osakis Fire Department put out the initial mass of flamed in the first 15-20 minutes. The house received smoke and water damage while the garage is a total loss.
