Update: Villard man in critical condition after motorcycle crash on CR 27 near Pope-Douglas County line

A Villard man is hospitalized in critical condition following a motorcycle crash on County Road 27 near the Pope-Douglas County line Monday afternoon, June 8.

At about 3:40 p.m., Douglas Frost, 58, lost control of the motorcycle near 100th Street in Leven Township, went into the ditch, struck a sign and was ejected, according to a preliminary investigation by the Pope County Sheriff’s Office.

Frost was taken via Life Link III helicopter from the scene to the St Cloud Hospital. He was listed in critical condition as of Wednesday, June 10. Frost was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Agencies responding to the scene included Pope and Douglas County Sheriff's Offices, Forada First Responders, North Ambulance Service and Life Link III Air Ambulance.
