Update: 16-year-old injured in rollover on Highway 29 near Forada

She was driving a 2012 Chevy Captiva south on Highway 29 near mile marker 72 in Hudson Township, when the vehicle went off the road.

A 16-year-old girl from Starbuck was injured in a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 29 near Forada Thursday afternoon, June 10.

According to the State Patrol, Laura Klassen, 16, was driving a 2012 Chevy Captiva south on Highway 29 near mile marker 72 in Hudson Township, when the vehicle went off the road and into the right ditch where it hit an approach and rolled over.

Klassen, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

The airbag was deployed.

Responding agencies included the State Patrol, Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Forada Fire Department, Forada First Responders and North Memorial Ambulance.

The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. Road conditions were dry.
