Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that also involved a deer on Interstate 94 near Evansville Saturday night.
Deann Cavett, 48, of Fargo, North Dakota was driving a Mazda 3 west on I-94 near mile marker 83 when she struck a deer and the car spun out of control, facing sideways in the lane of traffic, according to the State Patrol.
Clyde Staus, 61, of Ottertail, the driver of a Cadillac Escalade, struck the Mazda in the driver's side door.
Cavett, and her husband, Steven Cavett, 49, also of Fargo, were taken to the Douglas County Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to the State Patrol. They were both wearing seatbelts.
Staus and two of his passengers were not injured, according to the State Patrol.
