TODD COUNTY — Todd County’s Solid Waste Committee developed an online survey in 2020 asking its constituents about its solid waste program. They received 118 results.
Responders had many positive things to say and expressed interest in expanded county services.
Although the initial survey results were helpful in understanding resident needs, the solid waste committee was interested in gathering more information to be used to inform future recycling program decisions.
To accomplish this, they sent out a second, eight-question survey to every residential dwelling on record. The questions were specifically targeted to recycling. Approximately 12,000 surveys were mailed out. Last week they closed the survey with 1,778 responses. This is one of the highest response rates they have ever received from residents. A summary of the results can be found on Todd County’s Solid Waste website page.
