UNDERWOOD, Minn. - The name of an 18-year-old driver killed in a one-car accident Tuesday in Otter Tail County has been released.
Ryan Nelson Tharp of Underwood was killed after the vehicle rolled at least once and came to rest in a slough, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department.
Tharp was driving a 1998 Honda Civic east on Otter Tail County Highway 122, also known as Whiskey Road, about 4:30 p.m. when he drove through water flowing over the road from heavy rain, the sheriff's department said in a news release.
Tharp's vehicle went into the south ditch and rolled one or two times.
The sheriff's department also said he was not wearing a seat belt and no other passengers were in the car.
