Suspect arrested after shooting incident in Glenwood

After investigating, deputies learned that an individual took out a handgun and intentionally discharged four rounds, striking a TV, and penetrating a wall. Three of the rounds entered an adjacent bedroom.

A suspect was arrested after allegedly firing a handgun inside a house in Glenwood on Saturday, Dec. 12.

At 5:24 p.m., the Pope County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 17750 210th Ave, Glenwood for a report of gun shots being discharged in a house. Deputies responded to the residence and learned that there were six individuals in the house.

After investigating, deputies learned that an individual took out a handgun and intentionally discharged four rounds, striking a TV, and penetrating a wall. Three of the rounds entered an adjacent bedroom.

No one was injured from the gunfire.

Sheriff's deputies located a handgun and seized it.

Christian Hoff, 20, was taken into custody and is facing felony charges of reckless discharge of a firearm, according to the sheriff's office.

The Glenwood and Alexandria police departments and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
