Small structure fire near Alexandria causes minimal damage

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office was called to a structure fire on County Road 34 NW near Lake Ida Saturday, Sept. 26.

Shortly after 11:40 a.m., a small electrical fire is believed to have started in the wall of an upstairs bedroom, according to the sheriff's office.

The Alexandria Fire Department and North Memorial Ambulance also responded.

Alexandria firefighters were able to extinguish the flames, and the house sustained minimal damage.
