The Rural AIDS Action Network (RAAN) will hold a winter quarter regional partner meeting on Monday, January 14.

It will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Marion Building's lower level conference room, 700 Cedar Street in Alexandria. Lunch will be provided. Parking is available off of 8th Avenue.

Special speaker will be Reverend Leah Mason-Hauser, who served as a Peace Corps HIV services coordinator in Africa.

Goals for the RAAN regional network meetings are:

  • Provide a forum to discuss changing needs, barriers that exist, and your regions' response to these needs by all service providers.
  • Provide current and up-to-date educational opportunities relating to HIV and other related health conditions.
  • Provide updates on RAAN's activities and new directions.
  • Provide a time to listen to client needs.
  • Conduct volunteer recruitment and planning as it relates to your needs in your communities. Set up new working committees.
  • Discuss strategies for community support of RAAN or community projects.
  • Provide opportunities for networking.
