ALEXANDRIA — Almost 60 puzzle enthusiasts braved the cold this weekend for Puzzle Palooza at the Douglas County Library.
On Saturday, Jan. 28, 12 teams competed to complete either 500- or 1,000-piece puzzles at the library. Five of the teams were in the 500-piece category, and seven were in the 1,000-piece category.

Several awards were given at the contest, including Speed Champions, which went to The Puzzle Masters for completing their puzzle in 51 minutes; Best Dressed, which went to Piece, Love & Happiness; and Best Team Name, which went to The Piece Keepers.

The free contest took place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and featured small trophies given to group winners and individual prizes that were given to winners of drawings.
