PrimeWest Health recently received a five-star rating by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services for its 2022 PrimeWest Senior Health Complete Medicare Advantage health plan.
PrimeWest Health attributes this achievement to the collaborative and dedicated efforts of local health care providers and county public health and social services staff who provide care and services to its members, and PrimeWest staff.
CMS’s star ratings measure the quality of Medicare plans across the country. Each year, Medicare evaluates plans based on a five-star rating system. A five-star rating indicates PrimeWest Senior Health Complete is providing excellent coverage, quality, services and member satisfaction for the nearly 2,000 senior members in the program.
This is 11th time out of 12 years PrimeWest Health has received a four-star rating or higher for PrimeWest Senior Health Complete, a program for “dual eligible” seniors who qualify for both Medicaid and Medicare and reside in PrimeWest Health’s service area.
“A five-star rating for a Medicare Advantage plan that only serves rural, low-income seniors like PrimeWest Health is rare nationally and extremely difficult to attain, and I think it speaks volumes about the compassion and quality of care provided to our seniors by local health care providers and county public health and social services agencies,” said Jim Przybilla, PrimeWest Health CEO in a press release.
