The Parkers Prairie wrestling team had to battle nagging injuries and illnesses in its dual against Browerville-Eagle Valley last Thursday night and it showed in the final results.
The Broncos won 12 straight matches, five of those by forfeit, on their way to a 61-6 win over the Panthers. Tyler Walsh got Parkers Prairie's only win of the night at the 215-pound weight class.
Tim Hanson, Jason Arvidson, Dan Moske and Chris Birkholz were all held out of action because of injury or sickness, and it took its toll on the Panthers.
"It was a difficult night as injuries and illness plagued the Panthers," head coach Bill Wagner said. "It's a good time for the holiday break. The Panthers need a little [rest and relaxation] and some time to heal."
Wrestlers will have off until January 3 before they return to action against Wheaton-Herman-Norcross.
