Other schools also making meal deliveries

Other Minnesota school districts are also finding ways to get meals to students now that they are no longer in school.

At Osakis Public Schools, Food and Nutrition Services is offering free breakfast and lunch to any child through the age of 18, regardless if they qualify for meal benefits.

Breakfast includes juice, milk, fruit and a breakfast entrée, while lunch will include fruit/and or juice, milk, fresh veggies, chips and a cold lunch entrée. Meals are based on supplies available to the school.

They are making a week's worth of meals available each Monday. Pickup is being done from 9 to 11 a.m. at the high school entrance. To sign up for delivery, go to the district's website, osakis.k12.mn.us , and fill out the meal survey. For more information, contact Shari Klukken at 320-859-2191, ext. 1168.

In the Brandon-Evansville School District, meals are also being delivered, and they are available for pickup at three locations between 11 a.m. and noon Monday through Friday: at the front doors of the schools in Brandon and Evansville, and also at the Millerville Legion.
