Much as the rosebud symbolizes the new life and joy we had been anticipating, the thorn represents our deep pain and sorrow at the loss of our baby girl, Joely Joy Thompson. She was born on December 14, 2007 and entered heaven on January 3, 2008 at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. She is survived by her parents, Randy and Christa Thompson of Alexandria; twin sister, Danza Lee; grandparents, Chub and Jan Hensley of Osakis and Gary and Barb Thompson of Alexandria; great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. Though her life was short, her impact will last forever.
