LAKE ANDREW TOWNSHIP, Minn. — Ronald Dilley, 67, owner of Dilley's Resort on West Norway Lake, died at the scene of a snowmobile crash west of Lake Florida on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
The crash was first reported around 2:43 p.m. Wednesday in the 12000 block of Second Street Northeast in Lake Andrew Township, according to a news release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found Dilley lying on the ground next to a 2023 Ski-Doo snowmobile. First responders performed life-saving measures before he was declared dead at the scene.
Dilley served on a variety of local watershed, county water and soil conservation committees, according to West Central Tribune archives. In an interview published in 2017, Dilley said he planned to keep the resort that had been in his family for three generations running.
New London Fire and Ambulance, Spicer First Responders, the Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, CentraCare Ambulance and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources assisted at the scene.
