Man, infant found dead in Sartell apartment are identified

The man's death is suspected to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The infant's death is under investigation as a homicide.

SARTELL, Minn. — Two people found dead Jan. 19 inside an apartment in Sartell, Minnesota, have been identified.

Caleb Allen Clark, 24, and 4-month-old Hazel Kaloni Clark had recently moved to Sartell from Grand Forks, North Dakota, according to a Thursday, Jan. 26, news release on the Sartell Police Department's Facebook page.

The two were found dead on Jan. 19 when emergency personnel responded to an apartment fire at 301 11th Ave. E. in Sartell.

Caleb Clark died of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the news release.

Hazel Clark's death is being investigated as a homicide, the release said. Her cause of death is pending further testing.

The State Fire Marshall determined the fire was set within the apartment intentionally. Most of the damage was contained to the unit, the release said.
