Kurtis Mickelson continues to put up huge numbers for the Ashby boys' basketball team.
This time it was in a winning effort as the Arrows took down Hillcrest 59-55 last Thursday night in Ashby.
Mickelson was unstoppable, putting up 34 points, grabbing 23 rebounds and blocking six shots.
The Comets held a 20-19 lead at the break, but Mickelson and the Arrows came out strong in the second half, outscoring Hillcrest 40-35 in the final 18 minutes.
Theron Rein provided the second scoring threat for the Arrows with 14 points. As a team, Ashby shot 44 percent from the field and grabbed 54 rebounds.

The win moved them two games under .500 at 3-5 and got them to the .500 mark in conference play at 1-1.
