No need to wait by the mailbox: WE Fest is now processing ticket orders on-site at Soo Pass Ranch
If customers are waiting for credentials through the mail, “they can just come here and we will issue new credentials and cancel the old stuff — they don’t have to wait for the mail,” said WE Fest General Manager Mark Bjerke.
DETROIT LAKES — WE Fest customers who have not yet received their tickets and other credentials for the Aug. 4-6 country music festival can just show up at the Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, and their orders will be filled on-site, according to WE Fest General Manager Mark Bjerke.
WE Fest “is having some issues with our ticket fulfillment company,” Bjerke said Friday. “They have not been able to get them (the tickets) out in a timely manner.”
So WE Fest took over the process itself and is now filling previous orders on-site, using the customer's name, email, order number, or other identifying information, Bjerke said Saturday. That means people don’t need to wait by the mailbox for tickets to arrive — they can show up and get new credentials issued, and the original order is then canceled, he said.
That was a relief to customer Brenda Strand, a retired VA medical worker in Maple Lake. She ordered WE Fest concert tickets and camping for six people back in November, and as of Friday the tickets had still not arrived, she said. Bjerke said he talked with Strand on Friday and they straightened everything out, and now Strand and her family are coming to WE Fest as planned.
“She’s fine now — she’s excited about it,” he said. “We’ve changed over to RFID (radio-frequency identification) and everything is electronic. They can still drive up here and we can issue credentials on the spot — that’s what we’re doing this weekend,” Bjerke said on Saturday. “We’ve been moving people through all day, and a lot of people don’t even have their stuff (order information) with them.”
If customers are waiting for credentials through the mail, “they can just come here and we will issue new credentials and cancel the old stuff — they don’t have to wait for the mail,” he said.
