1. 7 p.m. Public hearing – Black & Veatch – conditional use permit
The applicant is requesting to allow the installation of six Level 3 EV charging stations within the Menards parking lot. The proposal includes the installation of supporting electrical infrastructure, including a new utility transformer, switchboard, power units, and light pole. This improvement would result in a net loss of five parking stalls. The property is at 215 50th Ave. W. in a B-1 “General Business” zoning district.
2. 7:10 p.m. Public hearing – Justin Jelen – exception to platting
The applicant is requesting to allow a one-time split to his existing 0.78-acre parcel. The applicant would retain 0.60 acres and sell the remaining 0.18 acres to his neighbor. The property is at 1709 State Highway 29 N. in an R-1 “Single Family Residential” zoning district.
3. 7:20 p.m. Public hearing – Sacred Journey Academy – conditional use permit
The applicant is requesting to allow a K-8 school facility in the existing Indigo Plaza building. Minimal remodeling would be proposed. Existing tenant space would be incorporated into the school as their leases expire. Forecasted enrollment year one is 144 students; with a total enrollment of 208 students when full. Site improvements do contain outdoor play space, a basketball court, and added parking/access to Iowa Street. The properties are at 4133 Iowa St. and the vacant lot to the north and are currently located in a B-1 “General Business” zoning district.

4. 7:30 p.m. Public hearing – City of Alexandria – text amendment – Keeping of Chickens
To consider whether to amend the city code to allow the keeping of chickens within the city limits. Background information will be provided and all those wishing to be heard on the matter will be accorded an opportunity to speak. No action will be taken at this meeting.
