Driver injured in crash with semi near Alexandria Wednesday afternoon

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and North Ambulance responded to the scene.

ALEXANDRIA — A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 about two miles west of Alexandria sent one of the drivers to the hospital Wednesday, Oct. 26.
Wade Benjamin Johnson, 32, of Williston, North Dakota was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox west on I-94 near mile marker 98 and Rodolfo Valentino Alix, 55, of Orlando, Florida was eastbound in a 2018 Freightliner semi when the vehicles collided at about 2 p.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Johnson suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Alomere Health in Alexandria. Alix wasn't injured.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
