Burgen Lake Rest Area near Alexandria closes for emergency repairs on March 21

Although the building will be closed, the rest area parking lot will remain open.

ALEXANDRIA — Effective immediately, the Minnesota Department of Transportation has temporarily closed the Burgen Lake Rest Area on westbound Interstate 94 near Alexandria for emergency building maintenance repairs on Tuesday, March 21.

The building is expected to reopen Wednesday, March 22.

Although the building will be closed, the rest area parking will remain open.
