Level 3 sex offender to be placed in Alexandria upon release on July 14

ALEXANDRIA — A level three sex offender will be placed in Alexandria upon his release, according to a news release issued by the police department on Tuesday, July 12.

George Joseph Hecker, 48, is set to be released from custody onThursday, July 14, and will live on the 700 block of Nokomis Street in Alexandria.

Alexandria Police Chief Scott Kent will be available for questions and discussion regarding Hecker's placement on Thursday, July 14, between noon and 1:30 p.m. at city hall.

According to a fact sheet released by the Alexandria Police Department, Hecker engaged in separate incidents of sexual contact with a known teen-aged female.

He was later found to be in possession of child sexual abuse images, the fact sheet read.


Hecker is classified as a level three predatory offender, which is considered to be at the highest potential of being involved in a future sex crime.
