The Runestone Museum kicked off a yearlong birthday celebration and membership drive on Wednesday, January 23, with an open house. We thank the community for their response to the membership drive and their presence at the open house.
Everyone enjoyed the "Back to the Fifties" exhibit and the trademark egg coffee. We also thank the Echo Press for the wonderful coverage of Runestone Museum activities over the past year.
We are now busy planning for the second annual Night at the Runestone Museum, which is scheduled for March 7. Last year, the celebration was in honor of LeRoy Meyer's many contributions to the Runestone Museum and community. This year we are recognizing the three men instrumental in securing the funds to build the museum - Gordon Duenow, Lee Johnson Sr. and Dr. E.J. Tanquist Sr.
