DOUGLAS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

Monday, June 24

Noise complaint, report of loud music coming from a  house across the street, Forada Beach Road.

Public assist, caller wanted to talk to deputy about dog leash laws, Burkeys Lane NW.

Shooting complaint, Rose Lane SW.

Suspicious vehicle, caller reported vehicle driving around town for awhile, watching people, County Road 82 NW, Evansville.

Vehicle in ditch, County Road 23 NE.

Theft, caller reported wires cut and battery stolen out of compactor, County Road 15 SW, Kensington.

Suspicious activity, caller came home, found doors open and a dog inside the house in a crate that is growling and barking, Kensington.

ATV complaint, caller reported six kids on a side-by-side driving up and down the road, hanging out the sides, driving dangerously, Maple Frontage NE.

Burning complaint, anonymous complaint of person burning prohibited materials, County Road 11 NE.

Public assist, caller is renting a house on Lake Mary over the Fourth of July and was wondering about fireworks laws in Minnesota.

ALEXANDRIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Monday, June 24

Suspicious activity, caller reported ticket booth light was off when she left her house and when she came home, it was on, 5th Avenue W.

Theft, caller reported items missing from construction trucks over the weekend, Aga Drive.

Shoplifting, caller wanted to speak with an officer about a girl that keeps shoplifting from the store, Broadway Street.

HIt and run, caller wanted to report hit and run that happened about 10 minutes ago, Fillmore Street.

Property damage crash, two vehicles, 50th Avenue W.

HIt and run, on side of building, Highway 29 S.

Theft, report of person stealing dock by fraudulent means, Nokomis Street.

Property damage crash, caller reported trailer came off hitch and struck a tree, Jefferson Street.

Hit and run, Broadway Street.

Drug related activity, report of four guys smoking marijuana in vehicle, smell is so strong caller could smell it outside the truck as it was driving past, Highway 29 S.

Suspicious activity, caller reported it sounds like upstairs neighbors are beating their dog, checked on, persons caring for another dog that whimpers a lot and is young, no signs of abuse, Kenwood Drive.

Driving complaint, report of semi cutting vehicles off, 15th Avenue W.

Drug related activity, report of meth found, 9th Avenue W.

Suspicious activity, caller reported someone ringing doorbell and trying to open door, but caller didn’t see anyone, Bryant Street.

Suspicious activity, caller reported someone is knocking loudly on her door, South McKay Avenue.
