Another successful Douglas County Relay for Life event took place Friday night in Alexandria. With temperatures nearing 90 degrees, participants were encouraged to drink plenty of water and take a break when needed. The annual event, held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, has brought in nearly $124,000 so far, according to the Douglas County Relay for Life website. The top team, once again, was Alexandria Industries, which raised $71,685. Watch Wednesday's Echo Press for more on this year's event.
