State Sen. Bill Ingebrigtsen, R-Alexandria, and state Rep. Mary Franson, R-Alexandria, announced Thursday, March 26, that they will hold two town hall meetings next week using video conferencing technology to discuss Minnesota's response to the the COVID-19 pandemic.

The sessions are scheduled for 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31. They are expected to last about 40 minutes, with updates on the situation. There will also be time for people to ask questions, and Franson said she looks forward to hearing them.

"Maintaining communication with the people we represent is of the utmost importance in these uncertain times, and I want to hear directly from our community about how they are being affected," she said.

Ingebrigtsen, who represents District 8, also said that hearing from his constituents would be helpful.

“There are plenty of issues we can discuss, from the governor’s executive orders, to the precautions the legislature is taking to protect Minnesotans, to how Minnesota plans on recovering economically after," he said.
