Gardonville CEO Dave Wolf was named to the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband, Gov. Tim Walz and Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan announced Wednesday, Oct. 9.

While it's a new appointment for Wolf, the task force started under Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton. The task force's work has resulted in changes in how Minnesotans get internet service. Its work led to the creation of the Office of Broadband Development, the establishment of a Border to Border Broadband Infrastructure grant program, and speed goals for all Minnesota homes and businesses.

The task force will put forward policies to help ensure every Minnesotan has access to high-speed broadband, no matter their zip code, the governor's office said.

Wolf's appointment begins Monday, Oct. 14 and runs through April 2, 2023.
